Darkrose Manor relies heavily on community participation and generosity in order to be built and run each year. 2015 is certainly no exception. We humbly request the assistance of our friends, neighbors and the art-appreciating community in order to make Darkrose Manor a successful reality. There are several ways in which you can help out and get involved, including joining in as a volunteer or donating to support DRM's fundraising campaigns.
Donations of building materials, candy, muscle, and of course, the ever-mighty dollar are always needed and gratefully accepted.
Darkrose Manor proudly supports StopCMV.org - The CMV Action Network. Proceeds from each year's haunt will be donated to this amazing and important cause that is extremely close to our hearts. My own son, Sebastian, lost his life at age 3, due to complications of Congenital CMV in 1995.
1 in 150 children is born with congenital CMV in the United States, yet only 13% of women are even aware of it's existence. More children will have devastating disabilities due to congenital CMV than other well-known infections and syndromes, including Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Spina Bifida, and Pediatric HIV/AIDS. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CMV is the most common congenital (meaning from birth) viral infection in the United States.

The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and progressively limits the ability to breathe. In people with CF, a defective gene causes a thick, buildup of mucus in the lungs, pancreas and other organs. In the lungs, the mucus clogs the airways and traps bacteria leading to infections, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. In the pancreas, the mucus prevents the release of digestive enzymes that allow the body to break down food and absorb vital nutrients. In the United States:
About 30,000 people are living with cystic fibrosis (70,000 worldwide).
Approximately 1,000 new cases of CF are diagnosed each year.
More than 75 percent of people with CF are diagnosed by age 2.
Nearly half of the CF population is age 18 or older.
